Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

Introduction

Exchange Planning Corporation ("EPC," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Name and contact information (email, phone number, address)
  • Financial information related to your 1031 exchange transactions
  • Tax-related documents and data you share with us, including tax returns you upload for review
  • Communications you send to us, including live chat conversations

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect — subject to your cookie choices described below:

  • Device and browser information
  • IP address and general location
  • Pages visited, time spent on our site, and the sequence of pages viewed during your session
  • Referring website, source, and campaign parameters (such as UTM codes)

If you submit an inquiry or registration form, the page-visit history from your current session, your referral source, and campaign parameters may be attached to your submission so that we can understand which materials brought you to us. This enrichment does not occur if you have opted out of analytics.

Email Engagement Tracking

Emails we send may contain links with identifiers that, when clicked, tell us which recipient visited our site and may be used to pre-fill registration forms with your contact details. If you have opted out of analytics, we do not associate your browsing with your email identity.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies in two categories. Essential items are required for the site to function and remember choices you make (such as your cookie preference). Analytics items help us understand how the site is used; they run by default, and you can opt out at any time by selecting "Opt out" on our cookie notice, using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page, or enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser (which we honor automatically). We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before any analytics cookies load — nothing non-essential runs until you accept.

Some pages embed an interactive calculator served from 1031taxhub.com, an affiliated domain; content inside that frame is governed by its own cookie context. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal: when it is present, we treat you as opted out of analytics automatically, unless you have expressly opted back in.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide our 1031 exchange documentation and analysis services
  • Communicate with you about your account and our services
  • Send you relevant updates and educational content (with your consent, and with the ability to unsubscribe at any time)
  • Improve our website and services
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers who assist in our operations (under confidentiality agreements), including: Google (analytics), Microsoft (Microsoft OneDrive/Azure for secure storage of documents you upload to us, including tax returns), Zoho Corporation (live chat), and our customer relationship management system
  • Professional advisors (accountants, attorneys) when necessary for your services
  • Regulatory authorities when required by law

We do not use the analytics on this site for cross-context behavioral advertising. To the extent any analytics processing is considered "sharing" of personal information under California law, you may opt out at any time via the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the site footer, the "Opt out" button on our cookie notice, or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state or country of residence (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and similar laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states), you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements that apply to tax and financial records
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising — use the footer links described above or the Global Privacy Control signal
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information, such as financial data, to the purposes for which you provided it
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny services or charge different prices because you exercised a privacy right

To exercise any of these rights, call us at (424) 277-6011 or submit a request through our contact page. We will verify your identity using the contact information we have on file (or additional information if needed), respond within 45 days, and accept requests submitted by an authorized agent with proof of authorization.

Categories of Personal Information (Notice at Collection)

In the preceding 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address, visitor IDs); commercial and financial information you provide in connection with 1031 exchange services (including uploaded tax documents); internet activity (pages visited, session replay where consented, email engagement); and professional information (your role, such as investor, CPA, or advisor). We retain website analytics data for no longer than the periods set by each provider listed above, and client financial records for the period required by tax law. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Documents you upload for review are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access restricted to the EPC team. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date.
